What does it mean to be open-minded?

What would it be like, if…

Tim Brown made a wonderful short film in which a young woman poses a series of rhetorical questions to the viewer, that she then tries to visualize by any means possible.

For most of us, some of her ideas point to an exaggerated sense of imagination. This totally makes sense as not all of us can imagine the unimaginabile. One of her questions reffers to the possibility of having a visibile voice. Is this really unimaginabile? No, since nowadays there is a technology called speech recognition which can transform one’s voice into text, hence making it visible.

Did you find other impossible ideas that were made possible in time? How much confidence do you usually put in dreams that others point to as impossible to achieve?

Imagine the unimaginable

I created the “Imagine the unimaginable” dream after beeing inspired by a photo shot by teeesa. One of my aunts lives nearby a lake and she has a couple of chickens and ducks. I am always used to seeing the ducks having fun on the lake. The chickens would run like hell only if you throw a glass of water around them.

I could have never imagined two chickens chillin’ in a swimming pool. That’s why, when I saw this photo I chose it as a metaphor for imagining the unimaginable.

If you asked me yesterday whether I can imagine a guy trying to maintain his balance on a bike above the tallest vertical rock face in Europe I’d ask you on what kind of drugs you are. But yesteday passed and today I just saw a video of Eskil Ronningsbakken. Not only that I can imagine such a scene now, but I can also share it with you.

I started sharing my dreams. There are tens of them by now, but I still don’t know how to recognize  those that are the most important for me. Recently, I stumbled upon an exercise proposed by Guy Kawasaki. It goes like this:

It is the end of your life. Write down the three things you want people to remember about you.

I believe that thinking about what are those three things you want to be remembered for can reveal what your most important dreams should be. I also believe that the “list of three” should morph while you become better at recognizing great ideas and putting them into practice.

Imagine that it’s the end of your life. What are those three things that you want to be remembered for?

Walking the path versus building it

Pinned along the steep walls of a narrow gorge in El Chorro, near Alora in Malaga, one can find “The King’s little pathway” (Spanish: Caminito del Rey). [1]

I watched the video-recording of a person crossing this walkway. Only watching it made me feel… amazed.

If it’s courage, freedom, craziness and ambition that one needs to walk such a path, then what does it take build it? Would you be more confident to walk such a path if you built it yourself?

Aren’t these the same questions that you ask yourself when thinking of accomplishing an ambitious dream that someone accomplished before you?

Seeing the mushroom cloud of an atomic bomb always makes me think of death and hate, of suffering and evilness.

Each time I see a great dream I think of happiness and sincerity, of enthusiasm and the power to change the world for the better.


Isn’t the dream our weapon of mass inspiration? I always think about dreams from this perspective.

Become a professional “life Dj”

Have you wondered what’s it like to be a Dj? If you’re not familiar with the term, “a Dj (also known as disk jokey, Dj or deejay) is a person who selects and plays recorded music for an audience.”[1] While playing, they record their selection of tracks thus creating dj “sets” which can be played later by radio stations, or distributed as audio podcasts for the Internet users.

The DJs use special equipment to stitch tracks, match beats and add special audio effects to their sets. Famous DJs are great marketing tools for the underground artists as they play their tracks in front of large audiences. In the same time, there are underground DJs who become famous after producing a great remix of already an already popular artist. There are also DJs who create their own tracks. A good example is Booka Shade from Get Physical Records.

A while ago, I came up with this metaphor: A DJ is similar to a person that creates dreams consciously. DJs define a style of their own by carefully selecting and/or creating soundtracks. In general, the people that dream consciously, define their life by carefully selecting and/or creating their dreams.

Just like the DJs that become famous for their unique way of selecting and playing music, anyone can create a mark in the world by designing and accomplishing their dreams. I believe that the beauty of life comes from learning to Dj inspiring dreams. Here is my “life dj set“. Would you be interested to create your own?

Fulfilling the dream of flight

The flight is one of the most frequently encountered dreams in the history of mankind. The dream of flight has been illustrated in myths all around the world.

Nowadays the flight is not a myth anymore. That is because a bunch of crazy people believed in their dream and worked out ways to make it true. Remember what Walt Disney said: “If you can dream it, you can do it”.

I know of tens of devices that one can use in order to fly. There are hot-air balloons, planes, parachutes, kites, you name it. With the advent of wingsuit flying, one can experience the ultimate level of freedom when flying. I want to fulfill this dream myself sometime in the future.

A while ago, while browsing some talks from the TED conference, I stumbled upon a video called “Fulfilling the dream of flight in a high-tech wingsuit”. I immediately remembered about my own dream and anxiously pressed the play button in order to find out what was the video all about.

I was impressed. Now I’m even more motivated to experience wingsuit flying. Here’s some advice for those who want to start wingsuit base jumping.

What’s in a dream?

We’ve seen hundreds of dreams since our launch last week. Career dreams, leisure dreams, thrilling dreams, dreams about exploring the outer space, dreams about introspection and nature, dreams about freedom. These are just a few of them.

It’s fascinating how people share their dreams, inspiring other people and making them want to dream along with them.

Walt Disney said: “If you can dream it, you can do it”. You agree with this and you create a dream. Ok. What’s next? Make sure that you’re motivated to achieve that dream. You’ll be aware of your motivation when you find yourself talking with people about it. The fact that you talk about your dream  means that you are motivated and committed to achieving it.

If you found out that your motivation is powerful and sincere, then set objectives and create a little strategy for achieving each of your dreams. Ideas are beautiful but they fade away very fast. They’re just like scintillations.

Bellow, there’s a visual representation of  our vision about how dreams are triggered and how they can be achieved. Keep this in mind and you’ll be one step closer to designing achievable dreams. We’re ready to share with you what we’ve been dreaming about in the past couple of months. We dreamed a lot because Walt Disney “told us to”: “If you can dream it, you can do it.” Now, we need you to transform the dream into reality. John Lennon said it very well: “A dream you dream alone is just a dream, a dream you dream together is reality”.

Trigwee is what we call it. It’s our dream and will be your dream too if you join us. Trigwee stands for “Trigger Within”. We strongly believe that people who inspire are aware of the fact that dreams don’t just come out of nowhere – they’re triggered within them. How? By other people or by contexts that trigger ideas about future actions (i.e.: dreams).
