15 million minutes of happiness remaining

Dear friend,

I am Vlad – one of the founders of Trigwee – and I’ve already spent 19 million minutes of my life. I am writing to you as a big fan of life. By the way, did you know that, on average, a person lives around 34 million minutes?

When there’s millions left to be spent, you tend to think: “Oh well, that’s enough for almost anything”. Enough to enjoy, experience, achieve. I believe that it’s not so simple.

Not all the minutes that I’ve spent were happy. We spend minutes killing our dreams. We spend minutes ignoring how powerful and inspiring we can be. We spend minutes reacting and not creating.

That’s why I’ve started investing and stopped spending. I now invest in designing and living my dreams. Even though I haven’t yet designed them all, I have a long list of dreams I want to live.

Why would you invest in your dreams?

  • Because life is great and you want to enjoy it;
  • You want to be the player and not the witness of the game;
  • You don’t want to be alone, but rather together in your most ambitious dreams;

What would you get by investing in your dreams?

  • Meaningful conversations with the people that share your dreams;
  • People wanting to fulfill your dreams;
  • A safe and positive space where you can share your dreams;

Curious how you can get all these instantly?
It’s simple: Create a new dream to achieve and step into a new life right now http://www.trigwee.com/dream/create

PS: If you’re not into investing, I can understand that. Keep spending, but spend wisely at least: it takes a minuscule amount of your time to create a new dream to achieve. Every minute is important.

Discovering my parents’ dreams

I decided a couple of weeks ago to ask my parents about their dreams. I was really surprised to find out how easy it was for them to talk about them and how many they had. I made a list with all their dreams, translated them into English and shared them on Trigwee. I was very excited to see my mom’s and dad’s dreams.

Suddenly, I realized how lucky I was to have my parents alive and to actually know their dreams. Not everybody has this opportunity. So, I decided immediately to support them in achieving their dreams. I’m very grateful to have this chance and if you still have it, I really want you to feel what I’ve felt when discovering my parents’ dreams. If you don’t have this possibility anymore, just help people you love to live their dreams. It’s like a blessing.

On my birthday, I told my parents that I want to help them to achieve one of their dreams. They almost started to cry and they assured me that even if I wouldn’t succeed in achieving any of them, they’d be very grateful that I had thought of them in that way. They also told me that they love me a lot. I love them very much, too.

And there’s an irony in the whole story: I have never thought to do this simple but meaningful action before Trigwee. I’m sharing with you my experience and I’m happy that a lot of people will have the possibility to know and to stay tuned to their parents’ dreams with the help of the tool that we’ve created.

Enjoy achieving your own, your friends’ and your family’s dreams!

Pursuing your dreams in the face of naysayers

Leo Babauta has a wonderful post about how to pursue your dreams in the face of naysayers. Here’s a little preview:

“What do you do if you have a dream, but everyone around you keeps telling you to be more realistic and to give up the dream? What if they want you to pursue a more “sensible” and traditional career route?

You ignore them. You shut out the naysayers, and you stay focused on your dream.”

Wonder what their dream is

Due to Jonathan Mead tweets I discovered a great blog about how “self realization rocks”, with a great post about dreams. Its author, Danielle LaPorte, is also the co-author of the book, “Style Statement: Live by your own design” which I haven’t read yet, but I put it on my to read list because it’s so appealing to me.

Here’s a little preview of the post:

Our dreams and desires define us. Be they broken, scarcely remembered, on the verge of reality, or in full bloom. They pilot our choices. Dreams have the power to shape the entire landscape of our lives. Because they tend to be so precious and potent, many people keep their dreams and aspirations to themselves.

Further in the post Danielle LaPorte describes how things would be if you knew what someone’s dreams are. But I’m saying nothing more, I’ll let you discover on your own what is all about: http://whitehottruth.com/white-hot/wonder-what-their-dream-is/.

Enjoy, dream and rock!

I am working on a dream

I just realized that for me, till recently, conscious dreaming was a secondary activity. In my case it was happening like this: “I have some dreams, I’ll put them on a list, but now I have to work. I will consider thinking about them after my first big financial success.”

After having started Trigwee I realized that together with my partners we are working on a dream, just like Bruce in this song.

Surprisingly, even if not all our dreams are achieved yet, we are very happy.
What does this mean? It is important to achieve your dreams, but it’s more important to work on your dreams.

If you are already happy, I guess you know what I am talking about, but you feel you deserve more from your life, just start thinking about your dreams. Share them and start talking and acting on them. It doesn’t matter how small or big your dreams are, just do it. You’ll be surprised to discover more about you. And even the fact that you talk and act on them will make you feel happy.

Stay in touch with us and become a member of a community of happy and fascinating people!

Hugs,

Vlad

What is Trigwee also good for?

I love Trigwee, of course. If I didn’t, maybe you would have said I’m crazy or hypocrite. But lately I’ve discovered something really interesting: another use of it. If you decide it is a good way for you too, then feel free to do it and to spread the news.

While reading a blog post on Personalitatea Alfa, I had this revelation and I decided to share it with you. Pera Novacovici, the author of the post, was saying: “It is a well known fact that we are the average of our group concerning social health, success, happiness. We talk, we act and we have the same ideals as those around us.”

Photo by Vlad Stan

True, we can’t change the place we were born, our parents, we can’t even influence the choice of the first school we have attended and all these things are a base for who we are today, but at least, when we grow up, we can make our own choices. We have the power to change our role models, our way of thinking, our sources of inspiration and also our groups. That’s how the average I was talking about earlier in this post, can be increased or decreased.

Now, about Trigwee. It is a place where people share their dreams, those things that they consider they have to make a change in better in order to achieve. So naturally, it is an aspirational environment. Spending time here, you’ll become yourself a person who wants to make a change in better in his own environment and has the courage to do it.

So, good luck at being fascinating and happy!

The amazing sense of knowing what you want

The other day, while talking to a friend, I suddenly had this amazing sense of knowing what I want. It felt so gooood. It was just like a prize you aim for so long and you finally get it.

It’s not only about knowing what you want. It’s about naturally, effortless, “built-in” knowing what you want.

How do you recognize this feeling? A random idea passes through your head. But, when your brain automatically translates it into a dream, your brain automatically finds ways to achieve it, your brain automatically searches your calendar to see whether it could be achieved in the following months, or in 1-2 years, or maybe in 3-4 years and you are just quietly contemplating the whole scene, that’s it! The feeling of what you really want.

Here’s the random idea I was telling you about which ended up in a well defined dream: Smile on a beach in Portugal, while hearing all around the sweet and incomprehensible Portuguese.

Then I realized. I started thinking more structured about the meaning of my thoughts and I started being more aware of what I want due to the exercise I had lately using Trigwee.

What about you? Have you ever experienced this feeling?

Turning the ordinary into something magical

I’ve always been fascinated by how some people are able to transform mundane things into sources of inspiration. Evelien Lohbeck is one of those people. In the following video, Evelien tries to confuse the reality by challenging expectations and illusions.

I believe that the ability to turn mundane things into sources of inspiration is one of those rare ingredients to creativity. Are you using old stuff to create new stuff? Are you challenging expectations? How often do you manage to turn something mundane into something inspiring, creative, unusual, different?
